ACADEMIC PROGRAMME
Gnanodaya International School is affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi. The curriculum followed in KG classes is play way methodology which is a stress free and joyous learning process. Primary and secondary classes are based on NCERT curriculum. The school updates with the best pedagogical practices which pertains to practical aspect of life. This gives the students a holistic view and allows them to apply knowledge and correlate various subjects to real life situations. Children learn better as the learning activities focus on the development of multiple intelligences. Opportunities for sensory stimulations are provided in the school through a variety of experiences. The school understands that the children do not learn at a uniform pace and hence they are allowed to follow their own learning curve. They also do not learn in a liner way but in a spiral manner. Hence, they are give time to revise the learnt concepts from time to time. This helps learning to get consolidated. It believes in promoting independence, developing motivation that encourages independent thinking, planning and problem solving.
A lot of learning happens in learning centers’ where learning happens effortlessly. The learning centers’ comprise manipulative area, block area, library area, fantasy area, clay area, art area and cutting and pasting area. There is a thoughtful balance between teacher- directed work and child-directed activities. Young children learn from everything they do since they are naturally curious. If their explorations and discoveries bring pleasure or success, they will want to learn more. Our children form attitudes about learning that last a life time. It is not surprising therefore that our children remain adventurous learners throughout their lives. Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) is followed intended to provide a holistic profile of the learner through assessment of both scholastic and non-scholastic aspects of education spread over the total span of instructional time in schools. It helps to identify those positive attributes of the learner which are not usually assessed during the examination conducted by various other educational boards and helps to pursue their ambition.
