Diwali was celebrated in Gnanodaya by lighting lamps, which is a symbol of peace, prosperity, happiness and good health. The colourful Diwali Celebration included a prayer song by the school choir, followed by a speech by Lathika of class VI which focused on the ill effects of bursting crackers. A group dance by the boys of V & VIII was a lively one. A song in adoration of Lord Krishna was sung by the school choir. "Diwali Celebration in different parts of India and world" was highlighted by one of our teachers. Principal wished and blessed the students. He shared his thoughts about celebrating this festival. The dos and don'ts were told to the students. A video clipping which carried a message of the amazing "Bird man - Palpaandi" who brought a difference in Koonthankulam in Tiruneveli district was shown to the students.
